The agreement for using Codgenie

These terms are the agreement between you and BUDGETAPPSTUDIO (trading as BudgetAiStudio), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India (“we”, “us”) for Codgenie: the website and app builder at app.codgenie.com, the websites it hosts, and codgenie.com. By creating an account or using Codgenie you agree to them. If you use Codgenie for a business, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.

Who can use Codgenie

Codgenie is for businesses and for people who are 18 or older. Give us accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and keep your email and WhatsApp number current — that is where we send codes, invoices and notices. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us at [email protected] at once if you think it has been compromised.

What Codgenie does

You describe your business by speaking or typing — in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, English or a mix — and Codgenie designs and builds a website from it, with photos, pages and buttons for your customers. You then change it the same way: say what should be different and it is done. You preview it, publish it to a free address (your-name.codgenie.com) or to your own domain, and we host it. The AI drafts the design and the words; you review and approve what goes live.

Mobile apps. You can also describe an app, start from your own Figma design, or bring in code you already have, and Codgenie builds or changes it with the AI: Android and iPhone apps, web apps, admin panels and their servers. You test it on a virtual phone or on your own phone, and you can download the full code at any time. While you test a project here it runs on its own with practice data and does not connect to your live servers or databases. Publishing to Google Play or the App Store, and store accounts and their fees, are your own steps and costs. Keeping your app running on a server is not part of a plan: it costs extra, from the price shown and depending on usage, or you can run it on your own server.

Plans, credits and hosting

Prices, tax and payment

Prices are in Indian rupees. GST is added at checkout, and the payment-processing fee for the method you choose is shown before you pay. Depending on how you pay, renewals are collected automatically through a mandate you approve, or you pay each period when it falls due; either way we show you the amount first. If a payment is not made, app work stops when the period ends and your websites pause after a grace period of 7 days. Both come back as soon as it is paid.

Payments are non-refundable

This is the most important commercial term, so we say it plainly: payments you make to us are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the period you have paid for, in whole or in part. Downgrading, using less, or stopping part-way does not produce a refund, and unused credits have no cash value. The exceptions are on our Refunds & cancellation page and are part of these terms.

Cancelling and changing plans

You can cancel any time in Plan & credits. Your website, your apps and your plan stay as they are until the end of the period you have paid for; nothing renews after that. When you switch plans, the new plan starts as shown on the plans page, and the credits you already have are kept. Moving to Hosting takes effect when your paid period ends; you can undo it before then.

Your content and your website

Acceptable use

Do not use Codgenie to build or host anything unlawful, deceptive, infringing, hateful or harmful; anything that impersonates another person or business; adult or gambling content; malware, phishing or spam; or anything that breaks the rules of the networks and services involved. Do not try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer Codgenie, or use it to copy our service. We may take a website offline or close an account that breaks these rules, telling you where the law allows.

Your own domain

You must own or control any domain you connect. We show you the records to add; keeping the domain registered and the records in place is your responsibility. Search engines are kept on your own domain once it is connected.

Your visitors and their enquiries

Enquiries from your website are delivered to you. You are responsible for your visitors' information and for any notices or consents they must be given; we process it on your behalf only to deliver it and run your website.

What we promise, and what we do not

We run Codgenie with reasonable skill and care and keep your websites online to the best of our ability, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. AI output may be wrong or incomplete. We do not promise search rankings, visitors or sales. Every change is saved as a version you can go back to; beyond restoring from the copies we hold, we are not liable for loss of content.

Limitation of liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or lost goodwill. We are not liable for loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, including outages at infrastructure, network or service providers, or by what your website says on your instructions. Our total liability for all claims connected with Codgenie is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the first event giving rise to the claim, or ₹25,000 — one cap across your account, however a claim arises.

Claims caused by your use

You will cover us for claims, penalties, losses and reasonable costs that arise from your content and your website, from your use of Codgenie in breach of these terms or the law, and from disputes between you and your own customers or providers. We will tell you promptly, you may control the defence, and we will give reasonable help at your cost.

Ending

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end it for non-payment or a breach of these terms. If a plan is not renewed, your websites and projects stay for at least 7 days after the paid period ends, and we email you first. After that they are permanently deleted and cannot be brought back, even if you pay later, so download your app's code before then. When an account ends, its websites go offline at the end of the paid period and its information is deleted as the Privacy policy describes.

Changes to Codgenie and to these terms

We improve Codgenie continually and may change features, prices and these terms. For changes that matter to you we give notice by email or in the app before they take effect. If a change materially reduces what you have already paid for and you do not accept it, you may cancel and we refund the unused part of that period pro rata.

Events outside our control

Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control — such as network or power failures, acts of government, natural disasters or failures at providers — for as long as they last. If such an event stops us providing Codgenie for more than 30 days, either of us may end this agreement and we refund the unused part of the paid period.

Grievance redressal

If something about Codgenie, your billing or your information is not right, raise it from Support inside the app or email [email protected], addressed to the Grievance Officer. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and work to resolve it within one month, keeping a written record on both sides.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute connected with Codgenie are governed by the laws of India. Please talk to us first — most problems are solved faster in an email thread. If we cannot resolve it between us, the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
